I'm so pleased that I'm managing to find all these fics that I vaguely remember reading and were good (such as, "that one where Hiei was claimed against his will and there was more of the story than just one chapter" - yeah that's how I remember this one). Haiku Kitten wrote a series of drabbles based on prompts, and some of them actually came together to form a bigger story, such as this set. It's definitely a lot darker than I'm used to reading, and contains some serious non-con, and I think it's a little OOC for Hiei in the later parts (although to be fair, I can't really imagine Hiei in that position in the first place, so maybe it's actually in character for him ::shrugs::), but I do like the inherent understanding that Kurama will make things right - it's like a security blanket throughout the fic. Also, I have no clue whether this "story" is finished or not @_@
