Written for the prompt that basically summarizes up to: "Charles makes himself forget. Erik is there to remind him." It's gorgeous and painful and I love how you get to see that the relationship between Charles and Erik is so, so complicated, and yet they still care so deeply about each other. Also, this is another one of those "the family reunites" fics that I love so much - as the author puts it: "Hank nodded slowly, and spread his paw-like hands wide in a conciliatory gesture. “It’s a family emergency, naturally we’ll have a cease-fire,” he agrees. “Did Lensherr call you?”" Oh children.
