Written for the prompt: "Set between the first and second X-Men movies. Something happens, and for whatever reason Erik and Charles become young again, looking just like they did in First Class. They also only remember everything that happened up to the age they are, so they don't know that they are now enemies"

Oh. My. God. This is one of those epic fics that you can sink your teeth in, and then it just blows your mind and makes your life complete. Erik and Charles somehow end up in the future, where they meet Jean and Scott and everyone else, and they see what the world has become after that scene at the beach. It's gorgeously written, and the contrast between "Erik" & "Charles" & "Mageneto" & "Professor" are so clear it's amazing, and it brought tears to my eyes more than once. I've never read the X-Men comics - all my knowledge comes from the movies and wikipedia - so some of the cameos, per se, aren't as familiar to me, but you can see the care and thought the author put into the story. Also, the emotional bound between Erik and Charles is beautiful to behold. I SO wish the X-Men storyline ended like this.
