Like I said when I was recc'ing The Beginning, there's a lot of speculation on just how exactly Kurama managed to convince Koenma to let Hiei out on patrol, and also somehow managed to get Hiei to work with him and the Tantei at the same time. Tawnya really shows the trust and distrust between the two demons, how the power shifts back and forth depending on words said or actions taken, and I like that little hint of something more (it could just be friendship, but of course the hardcore shipper in me is reading much more into it than that) at the end. A beautiful read.
